Sunset

While walking Barklee a few nights ago, the sun was just setting over the river, and it looked so beautiful, I had to take a picture. My camera phone doesn't do it justice, but believe me, it was very nice.

This is about as close to a sunset as you can get out here. I realized last night, the reason you can't really see the sun set very well is because everything is flat! In Utah, the sun rises from the mountains, and sets behind the mountains, so everyone is able to see how beautiful it is. I noticed this especially from my apartment in Salt Lake. My home was situated at the mouth of the canyon, so I was at a higher elevation. I could sit on my front porch, and watch the sun set over the Great Salt Lake. Now that was something to look at! But when everything is flat, houses and buildings, and sometimes even trees get in the way. So, I miss being able to see the sun set.
