Halloween Pictures

Jason's such a good sport. He let me put make-up on him to make sure he was looking especially scary. But I did too good of a job, he scared a little girl ... almost made her cry. But it was rather humorous, she's just going to be scared of our house for the next 10 years. :)

Here's what the front porch of the house looked like. Those ghosts you can see kind of hanging from the covered porch are foam ghosts that I found at Michael's. I punched a hole in the top and then hung them at various lengths with clear fishing string. I wanted to hang a few more, but didn't have time.

Here are our jack-o-lanterns. Jason's is the one on the left, mine is on the right.

Jason's parents came to visit us for the weekend, so I made a jack-o-lantern cake and some halloween cupcakes.

I'm Officially Official

Today (finally) I got keys and my name badge. I've been hearing every day that they would give me keys, but it just never happened. It's been kind of annoying because whenever I've needed to go through any door at the bank, I've been having to ask someone to open it for me. Now, I can function independently when having to go to the bathroom. It's a great feeling.

Plus, I found out today that I get next Wednesday off, and I'm getting paid for it. Lovely!

Women Who Yell Ironical Things

I started training at my job this week. I'm doing a lot of computer training to get familiar with the systems I'll be using. I find I learn better when I am actually DOING rather than just reading about doing, but I'm sure the information I'm learning will help out once I actually start putting it to use.

Today during the lunch hour rush, there was a line of customers waiting in the lobby to be helped. There were two tellers working behind the counter and the other one was just about to come back from his lunch. Apparently one woman was NOT happy that she had to wait a few minutes to be helped and she made sure EVERYONE who was in the bank knew about it.

On her way out, after she had been helped, she kept saying, very loudly "You need more help! Get more tellers! You need to hire more tellers!" and as she passed by the office I was training in on the computer, she looked straight at me and said, "You need to hire more tellers. This is ridiculous!" and stormed out the door. I wanted to say to her, "Hey yelling lady, calm down! They did hire a new teller: ME! So come back in 2 weeks, and be a happier person!" But of course, I didn't. Looks like the Customer Service Muzzle has found it's way back to my mouth. How lovely.

New Hair

Got a new job, so I got a new hair cut. Okay, actually I've been wanting to cut my hair for a while .... I like myself better with short hair. However, I made a promise to Jason that I would grow my hair out for the wedding, with the understanding that as soon as we were married, I was chopping it. And I did. 14 inches .... gone!

Back a month or so ago when I realized how much of my hair would be cut off, I looked into a few foundations that make wigs for cancer patients. The only problem is, since I color and highlight my hair, most of the popular foundations won't accept it. After an extensive search, I WAS able to find one that WOULD take it. So for anyone out there wanting to donate their colored and/or highlighted hair, this it the place!

Children With Hairloss

And for those curious to see my new hair cut:

It's an A-line cut, and it's kind of stacked in the back. It's a bit shorter than I was wanting, but I know the extra inch or two she cut off is going to someone who needs it.
