The last few nights, Barklee has been waking me up at 2:00 or 3:00 or 4:00, whimpering, so I figured she needed to use the bathroom, so I've had to take her out. It really stinks. Last night she did it again, at 2:30. It was starting to rain, so I really didn't want to take her out. I talked her out of it and she laid back down by my bed and went to sleep. Then about half an hour after that it started raining and thundering very loudly.
At 5:00 she came and woke me up again with her whimpering. I tried the whole "dog whispering" again, but it didn't work. She started at it again, but then I invited her up on my bed with me, and that quieted her instantly. She fell right asleep, and then I noticed, about 20 minutes later, it started raining and thundering again. It got me wondering, maybe when Barklee wakes me up in the middle of the night, it's not because she needs to go out, maybe it's because she hears something, or she feels lonely.
I think from now on, when she starts to whine, I'll see if she wants to come sleep with me on my bed. It will make both of us happy, because I really hate getting up in the middle of the night to take her out!
Since today is Friday, I'm hoping Jason and I will go out and do something fun tonight. He mentioned wanting to go play pool somewhere. Sounds fun to me. Lisa and I used to go to Fatcats in Murray to play pool. We would both start off really good, and then after a few shots, we couldn't hit anything! It was pretty funny.
Fat Cat'sJason and I have been working out lately. It's fun to go to the gym with someone, it makes it a lot easier, because you aren't alone in motivating yourself. We have a goal to go 4 times a week for an entire month, and if we do it, we get a prize. We haven't figured out what that is yet, but I'm sure it's going to be good!
