A New Direction

While I've been here in Kansas, I've had a lot of time to really think about what I want to do with my life. I've decided to go in a new direction as far as work goes. I am not the type of person who does well sitting behind a desk, inside an office, dealing with people all day long. Don't get me wrong, when I've had office jobs, I've done my best, and I've done them very well, I just don't thrive in that kind of an environment.

I'm trying to get back on my artistic side. I love taking pictures, and some of you may not know, but I'm a pretty decent artist. I can sketch and I like to paint. I love creating something new, or capturing something beautiful, so everyone can enjoy it.

I've found a few places where I can submit my photography, and people who need or enjoy my work can buy it. The photography and art would then be used by businesses for web designs, news articles, informational pamphlets, and much, much more!

It's going to take a while before I start seeing any serious amount of money coming in, so I'm lucky that I have enough money saved up, that I can live off for a while. It's also going to take a while for me to get back my artistic eye. I've been out taking pictures the past few days, trying to spot good photo ops, which is difficult to do in a city that you're not very familiar with.

Wish me luck, and keep your fingers crossed that this will turn out to be something that fits my personality, and helps my pocketbook.
