Yesterday while Barklee and I were out on a walk, we walked up to the stream that is behind our apartment complex. The stream runs directly into the Arkansas River. The water level in the Arkansas River is noticeable higher, probably at least 2 or 3 feet higher, from all the rain we've been getting. It looked like during one of the heavy rain storms, the water had been a lot higher in the small stream too, and it had been flooded with water and debris ... and fish! There were two very large fish that had been caught by the rocks in the stream after the water level had receded. The fish were still very alive, and I could tell the water level was just going to get lower and lower, and I didn't want them to just sit there and die. I knew I wouldn't be able to pick them up and throw them back into the river, so I just had to wait for Jason to get off work, and hope that they were still alive. Luckily, being the very good person that he is, as soon as he got home from work he agreed to help me save the fish. We headed over to the water and they were still alive, so it was fish saving time. I knew this would be very funny to watch, so I took my camera with me to capture it on film. Check out these two videos of Jason saving the fish.
