Even Dogs Get Sick

Well, a couple of days ago, Barklee was noticeably less active. I didn't think anything of it, and then later that night, I was sitting beside her and smelled something unpleasant squeaking out of her back end (yes, she was a farting dog). And then later when I took her out, I noticed she wasn't pooping anything solid ... that's when I put two and two together. I had a sick dog.

She had to go out once every hour-and-a-half to two hours to poop. I took her out right before I went to bed at about midnight, then she woke me up 2 times throughout the night, once at 3:00 am and then once again at 5:30 am. She would come over to my bed, start to whine, I would hurry and get dressed, go to open the door, and she would literally run down the stairs. I felt so bad ... my poor sick dog!

Luckily, we didn't have any accidents in the apartment, and she is feeling better today. I think she ate some bad food, or picked up a 24 hour bug. But, like I said, she's feeling better today, running around like a normal Barklee dog should, and bringing me her ball to throw.

P.S. We had an excellent Christmas, but too much to write about in this post. Next time. But I did find out I'm going to be an aunt again! Woo hoo!
