Top Ten Signs It's Winter And You're Not In Salt Lake City

1. You don't have to wait for a "green day" to burn a fire in your fireplace.

2. It snows less than 2 inches and everything from Weight Watcher's meetings to school choir performances to bingo games to sporting events are canceled ... and the local news reports it! (Seriously, they had a ticker at the bottom of the screen during the entire news cast that was scrolling at least 25+ things that were canceled or postponed.)

3. You explain to your boyfriend what an "inversion" is.

4. You have yet to see a business plow it's parking lot, or the city plow the streets.

5. The forecast is calling for 50 degree temperatures. (Actually, this one might not be so far off.)

6. What, no Temple Square lights? No Mo Tab or Salt Lake Symphonic Choir performances? But how will I feel festive?

7. It's either Nestle or Kroger brand when you want hot chocolate.

8. You pass an SUV that's going 15 MPH on the road.

9. No free parking downtown.

10. You can still see the grass.
