Today I called and booked the place for the wedding and reception. We're going to have it at Magnolia Grove which is in South Jordan. I've never personally been there for a wedding, but my sister and bro-in-law have been to a few receptions there and said it's really nice. The photos I saw online are also very nice. It has a beautiful garden where I want to have the ceremony and then the building is huge! It'll be a great place for the reception, and for pictures.
Jason and I both like the building and the other services they provide, including the wedding cake (made by Schmidt's bakery -- you don't get better than that!), invitation/announcement options, and the long and varied list of catered items available. Hello chocolate fountain! I'm going to be meeting with them to begin planning the details when I'm out there in May.
Wa hoo! Step #1, complete. Now on to steps #2 - 1,000.

Ah, Schmidt's....Yum. That alone should cover at least 10 of your 1,000 steps.
